Our 1st Bronco Bike Rodeo was a success! Thank you to the Escondido Police Department and the Escondido COMPACT Education program for facilitating this event. Our students learned riding safety tips while having fun.
Every student that attended will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win a new Bike and helmet from Escondido Compact, stay tuned!
Our Pop-Up Art volunteers did an amazing job teaching our kindergarteners about the Chinese New Year. Check out the beautiful art projects from Mrs. Lunde, Mrs. Lent, Mrs. S. Taylor and Mrs. Morales' kinder classes.

As part of our Season for Nonviolence, our Broncos participated in the Great Kindness Challenge (GKC) this week! The GKC is one week devoted to performing as many acts of kindness as possible on campus in an effort to promote a school climate of respect, caring, gratitude, and inclusivity. To help our students complete some of the kind deeds on their GKC checklists, a Kindness Station was set up during lunch recess with kind and fun activities for all grades. Thank you to our parent volunteers and Peace Patrol for making it such a success!

Today we celebrated the end of our Cuentos Familiares Workshop as part of The Latino Literacy Project which is a family reading program designed to establish family reading routines for Spanish-speaking and English-speaking parents and their children at their school site. The program offers quality bilingual books (English/Spanish), English-language development, vocabulary review and an engaging curriculum to promote a focus on family literacy. The program encourages parents to read with their children to enhance their reading and language skills, reflects the experiences of Latino families, and is centered around universal themes.
We believe the partnership between the home and the school is an important part of each student’s success, and “The Latino Family Literacy Project offers us a way to continue this initiative.

We are very exciting to share with you that we have a beautiful, new mural painted at the North Broadway Cafe. This work was inspired by our Nutrition Manager, Amanda Carrillo. She found a local artist to use the unique kitchen window design to create a food truck mural. Ms. Amanda and the NB team work to establish a cafe experience for our students. The food truck mural is part of creating a relaxing, pleasurable atmosphere for our students as they enjoy their meals.
TK/Kinder Family Picnic Day
Our TK/Kinder families had a great time during our PTA sponsored Family Picnic Day. Our students and families enjoyed a beautiful sunny day and learned about the amazing things PTA does for our school and community.

Come by the front of the school before the end of the school day tomorrow Friday, November 18th, this will be your last chance to claim your items. All non-collected items will be donated after school that day.
