Red Ribbon Week 2025 - Monday October 27th to the 31st

We will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week at NB Ranch the week of October 27th - October 31st. Red Ribbon Week is a nationwide campaign where schools unite to raise awareness of the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. The theme for this year’s Red Ribbon Week is Life is a Puzzle. Solve it Drug Free! This campaign allows us to educate students about a healthy and drug-free lifestyle, while helping our school remain safe from alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. We have a fun schedule of activities, classroom lessons, and spirit days planned for Red Ribbon Week.

  • Monday, 10/27 RED-y to Be Drug Free - Wear red! Red Ribbon coloring sheets distributed!

  • Tuesday, 10/28 Be a “Jean-ius”: Be Drug Free - Wear jeans or something denim.

    Red Ribbon temporary tattoos distributed.

  • Wednesday, 10/29 Wacky Wednesday- Enjoy life Drug Free! Wear crazy hair, backwards or mismatched clothes, etc. Red Ribbon lunch, Recess activity: Sidewalk chalk, photo ops, pledge.

  • Thursday, 10/30 Put drugs to sleep! Pajama Day. Students vote for the Red Ribbon coloring contest.

  • Friday, 10/31 Fall Festival: Parade of Characters. Dress up as your favorite character! Parade and contest winners announced.

Parade details: We start the day with a Parade of Characters on the upper blacktop from 8:15 - 8:45 AM. Students are invited to dress up as their favorite character. Families are encouraged to join us for the parade. Family viewing areas are the sidewalk above the blacktop and the ramps on the side.

Parking is very limited. Staff will be parking on the lower blacktop to allow for some extra visitor parking, but walking from the park or Country Club Lane is recommended. Please do not park in the drive-through drop-off lanes.

To promote a safe and responsible school culture at North Broadway, we ask that students dress culturally sensitive, free of blood, and have no weapons of any kind. Large costume accessories and masks that make it difficult for students to see or walk safely should not be worn at school.

Students should arrive at school in their costumes and have a set of clothes to change into following the parade. Students may place costumes in their backpacks or an extra bag from home.

Please note that the front office and gate will be closed from 8:15-8:45 am
