Cherry Moore

Welcome, North Broadway Students, Families, and Community Members,

I would like to welcome our returning and new North Broadway families to the new school year! My name is Cherry Moore and I’m honored to be the North Broadway Elementary School Principal. It is a privilege to work with our outstanding educators and support staff at North Broadway.

Our school's mission is to inspire students to embrace their own individuality, creativity, learning, and growth in a collaborative, responsive, and inclusive environment.

We strive to impact the development of our students to their fullest potential so they can apply their knowledge and talents to make a positive influence in their community for years to come and be prepared for future professions.

To accomplish this mission and achieve our vision we are reimagining school. We want you to feel confident that we are committed to keeping our children, families, and staff safe and to providing high-quality, rigorous, standards-based education that focuses on the academic, social, and emotional needs of your child. At North Broadway School, good character traits combined with thought-provoking learning, lead to happy, successful children.

In my professional, as well as personal life, I believe the Escondido community is a great place to live, work and raise a family. My own children have attended our excellent Escondido schools. I understand as a parent just how vital your child’s education is for his/her future success.

North Broadway is a family, and we're proud to have you as a part of it. Thank you for all you do to support your child both at home and at school. We are looking forward to another great year at North Broadway Elementary!

Go Broncos!

Mrs. Moore Bio

Experience I am honored to be the Principal of North Broadway Elementary School since the 2020-2021 school year. I have served the Escondido Union School District for 24 years as a Principal, Assistant Principal, District/Site Instructional Coach, and classroom teacher. These experiences prepared me to lead our Broncos and work to develop the best education experience for our students.

Family Life When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, three sons, three dogs, one cat, and four Nigerian Dwarf goats. My home is filled with love and activities such as gardening, hiking, mountain biking, camping, traveling, or kayaking. My family loves the outdoors and visiting new places! As a longtime Escondido resident, our boys all attended Escondido schools for elementary, middle, and high school before continuing on to college.

Education I believe in being a lifelong learner. As an undergraduate I attended both California State University Fresno and San Marcos where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Accounting and a Teaching Credential. In May 2015, I earned my Administrative Service Credential. My most recent educational endeavor was the completion of a Master of Science in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University.
