The Results Are In...

Every trimester our 2nd-5th grade students take the NWEA "MAPs" test in Reading, Language, and in Math. The assessment gives us information on where individual students are performing well, where they need help, and how we can provide appropriate interventions to ensure universal student achievement. At North Broadway, we want to beat the odds... and we're doing it! At the beginning of the 2013-2014 year our students were accelerating faster than the national norm in 11 areas we assessed. By midyear we were accelerating in 20 areas. By the end of the year we were currently accelerating in 28 areas on the MAPs test! Well done, Broncos! You make the family proud. Our teachers are collaborating and discussing best instructional practices, parents are seeking ways to be involved in our education endeavor, and our students are working harder (and smarter!) in an effort to "prove" that learning miracles really do happen at North Broadway! Let's keep this momentum and continue to accelerate as we begin our new school year in August. Together we will get the results we want to see!
