The collaboration activity at our last Friday Flag was fun. REALLY fun. Two teams of students were given 60 seconds to plan/communicate. They were also given 60 more seconds to collaborate and create the TALLEST structure given 70 red cups. Fun? Yes! Simple? Not quite. As parents, we love seeing the excitement and the light bulbs going on in our children. Just look at the picture of the audience! Although neither team could see the other team's structure because of the divider, they ended up building some innovative structures. Both teams tied for the tallest structure, too! When we think about what our students need to be successful in middle school, high school, college and in a career, the 21st century is demanding 4 critical skills. Collaboration, Communication, Creativity/Innovation, and Critical Thinking. Everything we do at North Broadway will build on those skills, and your children will be the leaders in the 21st century.
